The proposed $20 million capital project at Portville Central School passed Tuesday 152-38.

The proposed project includes improvements to the football and soccer fields including drainage, irrigation and new turf, as well as building upgrades.

Voters also approved the $25.5 million 2024-25 Portville budget by a vote of 158-33, a proposition to buy two school buses 159-32 and a capital reserve fund for buses and other vehicles passed 161-30.

The budget is up 1.14% and tax levy of $4,956,367 is a 1.75% increase.

Board of Education members Robert Colligan Jr., and Douglas Doty were re-elected without opposition.

At Allegany-Limestone, voters approved a $28.9 million budget 139-19. The budget represents a 2.7% increase. The tax levy of $7,297,481 is a 1.9% increase.

Dustyn Green was elected without opposition to a five year term. School Board President Susan Schifley did not seek re-election.

Hinsdale Central School District voters approved the $12.2 million budget, up 3.74% by a vote of 78-15. The tax levy is $2,236,230, up 0.45%. A proposition to buy two school buses for $337,000. Matthew Finnerty was elected to the Board of Education over Michael Bushnell.

In Salamanca, voters approved the $57.9 million budget 191-28. It is an increase of 13.2%. There was no change in the tax levy.

A proposition to buy three properties was approved. They are: the former Westgate Hotel, 734 Broad St., $2.3 million; 545 E. State St., $262,500 and 47 Sullivan St., $27,500.

Bradley Earley was elected to a vacant seat on the Board of Education with 192 votes and Theresa Ray was elected with 188 votes.
